Racine- Jason Patrick Riekkoff, age 24, passed away on Wednesday, March 13, 2013.
Jason was born in Racine on December 2, 1988 to Susan (nee: Beck) and Patrick Riekkoff. He attended the schools of Roosevelt and Jerstad-Agerholm; and graduated from William Horlick High School in 2006. Jason went on to attend Gateway Technical College.
Brilliantly talented, Jason had the mind of an engineer and a heart of an artist. Among his interests, he enjoyed exotic animals, building or repairing just about everything, working on cars, music, art projects, hunting, fishing and spending time with his family in Northern Wisconsin.
Surviving are his mom and dad, Susan Lynn Riekkoff and Patrick Charles Riekkoff; brother, Benjamin Joseph Riekkoff; grandparents, Peter and MaryAnn Beck, and Delores Riekkoff; uncles and aunts, Peter J. Beck, James (Cindy) Beck, Michael (Lynn) Riekkoff, David Riekkoff and Jeff Metzger; cousins, Lindsay and Michael Beck, Daniel and Kristen Riekkoff, Brittany and Joel Metzger, Kayla and Jonathon Riekkoff; his beloved Beagle, “Shadow”; other special relatives and friends.
Jason was preceded in death by his grandmother, Jane S. Beck; grandfather, Norbert J. Riekkoff; and aunt, Margaret “Peggy” Metzger.
Private services for Jason were held in the Draeger-Langendorf Funeral Home on Saturday, March 23, 2013. Pastor Ben Johnston-Krase officiated. In memory of Jason, memorials to the Ronald McDonald House at Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin have been suggested.
