
Jeffrey Scott Draves, 54, passed away at Froedtert Memorial Hospital, Milwaukee, on Monday, October 26, 2009. Jeff was born in Racine on May 1, 1955 the son of Frederick and Irene (nee: Braun) Draves. On October 11, 1985, he married the love of his life, Kristine Wiklund in St. Joseph’s Catholic Church. Jeff had been employed by Chrysler for over 35 years until his retirement. He then drove for First Transit Transportation. Jeff was a member of Gethsemane Lutheran Church, the Racine Instinctive Bowman, the Local # 72 Retirees, the Chrysler 20 Year Club, and was at onetime, active with the Racine Kilties. He enjoyed, riding his Harley, etching glass, bowling, and just being with his family. Surviving are his wife, Kris, their children, Tennyle (Jim) Pavlik of Caledonia, Brandon Draves of Milwaukee, Connor Draves of Racine; grandchildren, Justin and Brianne Pavlik; mother, Irene (Wayne Ehlers) Dvorak of Racine; father, Frederick (Linda) Draves of Las Vegas, NV; sister, Cheryl Chiler of Racine; brothers, Michael Draves, Patrick Draves, and Frederick “Ted” (Debra) Draves all of Racine, his dog, Buddy; as well as nieces, nephews, special aunts and uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends. Jeff was preceded in death by his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Richard and Barbara Wiklund; grandparents, Mathias and Mary Braun, and Frederick and Ann Draves. His memorial service will be held in the funeral home on Friday, October 30, 2009 at 6:00 p.m., with Rev. David Echelbarger officiating. Relatives and friends are invited to meet with the family from 5:00 p.m. until the time of the service.
