JoAnne Harriet Boughton, 85, passed away at Select Specialty Hospital – Milwaukee – St. Francis on May 2, 2018 following a long and hard-fought illness. She was born in Racine on July 15, 1932, daughter of the late Charles and Margaret (nee: Ellis) Hunn. On January 25, 1951, in the St. Rose Catholic Church Rectory, she was married to her love, Donald W. Boughton. JoAnne graduated from St. Catherine’s High School and spent many years at the Highridge County Hospital working as a Charge Nurse.
JoAnne enjoyed caring for her family, arts & crafts, crocheting, quilting, sewing and gardening. Above all she loved to be with her family, especially her children and grandchildren.
She is survived by her children, Roxanne (Dennis) Jankowski of South Milwaukee and Leon ‘Butch’ (Diane) Boughton of Racine; grandchildren, Bernadette (Terrance ‘Huggy-Bear’) Dunbar, Claudia Jankowski, and Zachary (Katie Anne Hessenius) Jankowski, Jill (Peter) Decker, and Lisa Boughton; great-grandchildren Erin and Kate Decker and Terrance Quai Dunbar Jr.; other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband Donald; brothers Chuck Hunn, Tommy Hunn, Roy Hunn; and sister Carol Sharkey.

Ma B (as many knew her) had a huge heart, filled with generosity, patience and FUN! She will be missed by so many. Each time I think of her there will be a smile upon my face, because all I have are happy memories.
