
John L. Gaal, 90, passed away peacefully, in the Aurora Hospital-Burlington, on
Saturday, August 6, 2016. He was born in Welland, Canada on April 30, 1926 the son of the late John and Josephine (nee: Nikkar) Gaal.
He served his country as a Frogman with the U.S. Navy, during WWII, doing underwater demolition. He had been employed by the Tenneco Corporation for many years. John was on the pit crew for various stock car teams for many years.
Surviving are his wife of over 31 years, the former Mary Guy Fritch; his children, Barbara (Clark), Karen (Alan), John (Darla), Janella (Howard), Denise (Jerry), and Colleen (Guy); step children, Catherine, Gordy, and Lisa; numerous and loving grandchildren and great grandchildren.
The family is planning a memorial service to celebrate his life to be held on Saturday, August 13th at 2:00 p.m. in the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 12735 Richmond Rd., Twin Lakes, WI. The family has suggested memorials to Aurora at Home Hospice, 103 N. Dodge St. Burlington, WI 53105.
