
Mr. John “Hook” Lee Story, 58, passed away unexpectedly while visiting family in Antioch, TN on Sunday, July 6, 2008. He was born in Ripley, MS on September 28, 1949 to the late Cleave and Jennie Mae (nee: Simelton) Story. Mr. Story graduated from Ripley Line High School. He moved to Racine in 1967. Mr. Story worked for American Motors/Chrysler for over 38 years, last working on July 2, 2008. He was a man of God who loved his family and his faith. He also enjoyed golfing, singing and playing his guitar. He leaves to cherish his memory his sons, James (Tiffany) Story of Memphis, TN; John Story of Milwaukee; eight grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; 3 sisters, Mary (Elder Walter) Hughlett of Milwaukee, Evone Story, Linda (Richard Wade) Story both of Racine, 5 brothers, William (Lorene) Story, Oliver (Orine) Story, Ellis Story all of Racine, Lawyer (Mary) Story of Milwaukee and Freddie Story of Columbus, MS; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives too numerous to mention. Mr. Story was also preceded in death by his daughter, Lori; 2 brothers and 1 sister. His life and Homegoing will be celebrated at New Omega Baptist Church (5731 Northwestern Ave.) on Monday, July 14, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Fred Richmond officiating. Burial will follow in West Lawn Memorial Park. There will be a visitation in the Draeger-Langendorf Funeral Home on Sunday from 5-7 p.m. and in the church on Monday from 10-11 a.m.

John lee was my cousin. We all lived in Ripley. We when to school together an I’m sorry I didn’t know he had past until I read the Sentinel. John lee dad and my dad was first cousin. My daddy was AZ Adams. Love all of you.
