Racine- Joyce Lillian Olson, 85, passed away at the Kenosha Care Center on Tuesday, January 9, 2007 following a longtime struggle with Alzheimer’s. Living most all of her life in Racine, Joyce was born in Wisconsin on June 26, 1921 to Shirley and Lillian (nee: Laha) Tousignaut. On December 2, 1946 she was united in marriage with Clarence I. Olson, who preceded her in death on November 28, 2001. Joyce had been employed for many years as a machinist at Eaton Manufacturing. She was a member of the Women of the Moose #631. Among her interests, she enjoyed arts and crafts. Joyce was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother who proudly lived her entire life around them. She will be dearly missed. Surviving are her children, Alberta Greider, Rosann “Cookie” (James) Nelson, Robert (Coral) Olson, Timothy (Roberta) Schildt and Mark (Carolyn) Stuhr; grandchildren, Paul (Joan) Greider, Jean Kirkebe, William (Leanna) Greider, Don Rasmussen, Hope (Sulo) Mackey, Renee (Jeffrey) Herr, Shirley (Cesar) Escamilla; Rebecca, Michael, Benjamin and Christian Greider; Barbara (Dana) Ciavarella, Jaclynn Overton, Beth Nelson, and Richard Olson; many cherished great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; sister, Shirley Parker; and by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents and husband, Joyce was preceded in death by her son-in-law, Paul Greider; grandson, Steve Greider, and by other special relatives. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home, 4600 County Line Rd., on Saturday, January 13, 2007 at 1:00 pm with Rev. David Behling officiating. Visitation will be in the funeral home on Saturday from 11 am – 1 pm. Interment services will take place on Monday at the chapel of Sunset Ridge Memorial Park, Kenosha, at 10 am.
