Miller's FlowersMount Pleasant – Judy Ellen (née Mach) Ostermann, age 71, passed away peacefully at home early Saturday morning, November 30, 2024, surrounded by the love and comfort of her family.
Judy was born in Racine on May 15, 1953, to Joseph Earl Mach and Helen Emma (née Dickinson) Mach Tuska. Her journey of love began in eighth grade at Starbuck Middle School when she befriended a young man named John Ostermann. Judy graduated from Washington Park High School in 1971, shortly after John graduated from St. Catherine’s High School in 1970. The two were united in marriage on August 28, 1971, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, beginning a devoted partnership that spanned over 53 years.
Judy’s career reflected her versatility and dedication. She worked as a dental assistant for Dr. Rudin, served as Vice President of her family’s construction company, Golden Construction, and later became a dental coordinator for Health Network, retiring after a fulfilling career. Above all, her most cherished role was that of a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother.
Judy’s hobbies and interests reflected her vibrant and loving personality. She delighted in sewing, crafting, ceramics, and cooking. She found joy in game shows, loved spoiling her beloved cats, and was always ready for a spirited game of Yahtzee. However, her greatest joy in life was her family, especially her grandchildren, who were her pride and joy.
Judy is survived by her loving husband, John; their children, Jennifer (Angel Hibarra) Ostermann and Justin (Christina) Ostermann; her adored grandchildren, Rylee (Brendon Snyder) Hibarra, Jordyn Hibarra, and Parker Hibarra; and her beautiful great-granddaughter, Juno Jordyn Snyder, born on Thanksgiving Day 2024. She is also survived by her sister, Jeanne (Michael) Warczyglowa; sister-in-law and dear friend, Jill Mach; brother-in-law, Jeff (Toni) Ostermann; nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Judy was preceded in death by her father, Joseph Mach; mother, Helen Tuska; stepfather, Stephen Tuska; brother, Gary Mach; brother-in-law, James “Ozzie” Ostermann; and John’s parents, Louis and Delores (née Miskinis) Ostermann.

The family wishes to extend their deepest gratitude to the staff of Hospice Alliance and the doctors and nurses at Aurora for their compassionate care and support during Judy’s final days. Your kindness will never be forgotten.
“Judy’s legacy of love, kindness, and devotion to family will live on in the hearts of those she touched. She will be deeply missed but forever remembered.”
