Funeral services will be held in New Life Lutheran Church (formerly known as Mount Zion) ,5927 – 37th Avenue Kenosha, WI 53144, on Saturday, March 12, 2022 at 1:30 pm. A reception will follow. Visitation will be at New Life Lutheran Church on Saturday, March 12th, from 11:00 am – 1:30 pm.
Racine – Karen Lynn Grobe, age 60, passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, February 9, 2022.
Karen was born in Milwaukee on May 15, 1961 to Robert William Grob and Delores Mae Gruber. She faithfully served our country with the United States Army. Karen received certifications in CNC, Automated Manufacturing, 4.0 from Gateway Community & Technical College 2009-2011. Karen was employed by several companies throughout her career, including a CNC operator with Aerotek, and most recently with SEDA. She was such a hard worker and so very responsible, finding comfort in life’s little delights like chocolate and a cup of good coffee.
Karen was a member of the Wisconsin Evangelical Lutheran Synod and had attended Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church in Hartland, WI. Among her interests, she enjoyed vegetable gardening; solving puzzles and playing card / board games; visiting museums & sightseeing; and spending time with all of her family & friends.
Surviving are her son, Andrew Buettner; daughter, Lynsey “Trinity” Voss; sister, Diane Grob; niece, Ravin (Marc) Riutta; aunt, Vivian Watkins; cousins, Linda Watkins and Janet Sprague. In addition to her parents, Karen was preceded in death by her brother, Kenneth Grob.
