Miller's FlowersCALEDONIA – Mrs. Kathryn Ann Koch, 87, passed away at Ascension All Saints on Monday, May 22, 2017.
She was born in Oshkosh on October 18, 1929, the daughter of the late Edward and Olive (nee: Fiegel) Derber. Mrs. Koch graduated from Washington Park High School in 1947. On September 22, 1950, she married Richard Jerome Koch at Atonement Lutheran Church.
Mrs. Koch worked at Starbuck Middle School as a teaching assistant for over 20 years, retiring in 1994. She was a longtime member of Living Faith Lutheran Church (formerly Atonement Lutheran Church). Mrs. Koch’s great loves were family and travel. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother; she visited all fifty states and 4 continents with her husband.
In addition to her loving husband, Dick; she is survived by her son, Jerome (Jean) Koch of Lubbock, TX; her daughter, Jill (George) Wanggaard of Caledonia; her grandchildren, Benjamin (Lynnay) Wanggaard of Maple Grove, MN, Laura (Dimitri) Shapovalov of Kenosha; her great grandchildren, Noah and Cassandra Wanggaard and Sophia and Gabriel Shapovalov; her sisters-in-law, Antoinette (Ron) Elder of Owosso, MI, and Ruthann (Harold) Stephens of Apache Junction, AZ. She was “Grandma Kathy” to three-step grandchildren and seven step-great grandchildren, as well as “Aunt Kathy” to many dear nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Koch was preceded in death by her sister, Dorothy (Edmund) Putzer; brothers-in-law, George and Nathan Koch and sister-in-law, Patricia Rashleger.
Family and friends are invited to meet at Living Faith Lutheran Church (2915 Wright Ave) on Monday, May 29, 2017 (Memorial Day) for a visitation and time to meet with her family from 10-11 a.m. A service celebrating her life will follow at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Dr. Warren D. Williams and Rev. Denise Mbise officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials have been suggested to Living Faith Lutheran Church.

How Blessed Karthy was to have been able to share her love for travel with her loved one Dick at her side.
She loved her God, husband, children, and grandchildren.
She leaves us all with some wonderful memories, parties, being there to help you when needed, and lets not forget some Fantastic Recipes.
