Katrina “Kim” Gonzalez, 59, peacefully passed away Friday, March 1, 2019 at her home surrounded by family.
Kim was born May 5, 1959 in Cainta Philippines to the late Jose Rodolfo and Puripes Gonzalez.
Kim grew up in Philippines and graduated from Cainta Catholic High School (class of 1976) and Cainta Catholic College of Philippines. In 1987, Kim moved to Arlington Heights IL where she proudly raised her children. She had a great sense of humor and found passion working in the healthcare industry and enjoyed cooking traditional filipino dishes for friends and family.
She is survived by two children, son, Alejandro “Ali” Gonzalez of Sturtevant, daughter, Angela Gonzalez-Terry of Mount Pleasant and was blessed with a grandson Anthony John Rosplock, brothers Phil (Sophie) Gonzalez of Addison IL and Arnel John (Cecille) Gonzalez of Hanover Park IL, sisters Sylvia (Dave) Wilkening of Fort Lauderdale FL and Marilou (Herme) Pedres of Elgin IL, nieces: Arielle (Al) Salazar of Naperville IL, Dawn (Kirk) Nast of Spokane WA and Alessandra Gonzalez of Addison IL, nephews: Edmund (Leslie) Lewsader of Decatur IL, Paul Lewsader of Salem IN, George Gonzalez of Hanover Park IL, Jroel Pedres of Elgin IL and Giancarlo, Mark and Rugero Gonzalez from Addison IL.
Family and friends are invited to meet in the Draeger-Langendorf Funeral Home and Crematory on Thursday, March 7, 2019 for a visitation from 4-5 p.m. A memorial service for Kim will follow at 5:00 p.m.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the hospice nurses and chaplain of Ascension All Saints.
