
Union Grove – Kenneth Douglas Maki, 69, passed away at home on Wednesday, March 23, 2016. He was born in Hurley, WI, on April 25, 1946, son of Tauno and Mildred (nee: Garreau) Maki.
He grew up and attended schools in Ironwood, MI. Kenneth proudly and faithfully served his country in the United States Marine Corps during Vietnam.
Kenneth is survived by his mother, Mildred Maki; his children, Harold Maki and Heather; grandchildren, Coty Maki (Sami), Derek Maki (Paige), Allison Maki; great-grandson, Chance Nathan Maki; brothers, Ted (Patty) Maki, Leonard Maki; uncle, Kenneth Maki; his dog, Precious; nieces, nephews, and other relatives too numerous to mention.
Kenneth is preceded in death by his father, Tauno Maki; brother, Donald Maki; grandson, Nathan “Nate” Maki; special friend, Kay Serkowski; and other relatives too numerous to mention.
Family and friends are invited to attend a committal service with full military honors on Tuesday, March 29, 2016, 12:00pm, at Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 21731 Spring Street, Union Grove, with Rev. Ronald Gramza officiating.
