Memorial Service: Tuesday, May 20, 2014 at 7pm
Leonard A. Boczkowski III, 32, fell to injuries sustained in a traumatic auto accident in Caledonia on Sunday, May 11, 2014. He was born on May 23, 1981, the son of Leonard A. Boczkowski, Jr. and Georgette L. (nee: VanderSchaegen) Redford. He was a lifetime Racine area resident and attended many local high schools and Gateway Technical College.
Leonard was a great man depended upon by many. He loved to spend time with his friends and family more than anything in the world. However, when he wasn’t spending time with Becca, Steve, Mat, Gibbs, OJ, or some other close friend or family member Leonard was focused on growing his business and purchasing investment properties. He always had a plan, and if he said he was going to do it, it would always get done. His father wants him to know that he was more than a son, but also a best friend to him – as he was to all of us. When Leonard wasn’t working or spending time with friends and family, he also enjoyed taking his boat out on the lakes or driving his 1975 Cadillac Eldorado with Batman, his dog and best friend, and Becca. Leonard leaves a large hole in all of our hearts that will be impossible to fill. You will never be forgotten, Leonard. We all love you so much and always will.
Leonard is survived by his mother: Georgette (Al) Redford of Racine; father: Leonard (Mary) Boczkowski, Jr. of Lady Lake, Florida; brothers: Josiah (Sara) Redford of Madison, Abraham (Jackie) Redford of Elkhorn, Seth (Keri) Redford of Fitchburg; fiancée: Rebecca George of Racine; aunts and uncles: Rhonda Edwards, Chet (Sue) VanderSchaegen, Greg (Jean) VanderSchaegen, and Mark (Karen) Thomas all of Racine, Jim (Marlene) Boczkowski and Linda Jacobson both of Clinton Township, Michigan, Bill Rutecki of Mazomanie, Mike Doherty of Greendale, WI, and Janice Rutecki of Lombard, Illinois; as well as his nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his brother David Redford.
Memorial services will be held in the funeral home on Tuesday, May 20, 2014 at 7:00 p.m. with Rev. Mike Ruta officiating. All are invited to visit with the family from 5:00pm – 6:45pm. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the family are kindly suggested.
Leonard’s mother, Georgette, would like to acknowledge the kindness of a stranger, a woman only known as Lisa, for noticing another of God’s children in distress and taking the time to comfort and pray with her. God bless you, Lisa.

Gerri and Pat Piscitelli says
Our hearts are heavy with the tragic loss of young Len. We met him several times over the years, and were so impressed with his ambition, ingenuity and ability “To be the best that he could be.” We enjoyed his company in March when he and Becca visited his Dad to celebrate Mary’s birthday . His enthusiasm and future plans really set him aside from the rest. We felt so sad for Len and Mary, who did everything to help him become a success in life.
Today, The Board members of the Opera Club of the Villages said a silent prayer for him, and our dearest friends, Mary and Len.
May God be with them as they sort through the reality of this tragedy.
With Deepest Sympathy,
Pat and Gerri Piscitelli
