Racine – Linda Ann (nee: Short) Cannell, age 59, passed away unexpectedly in her sleep on Monday, March 25, 2019.
Linda was born in Detroit, Michigan on November 12, 1959 to James Short and Sally (nee: Ferro) Lane. A graduate of Romeoville High School, she went on to be employed as a telecommunications line worker, retail associate, an auction house and as an administrative assistant in the automotive restoration industry. She had lived in Romeoville, IL most of her life, then Kentucky for a year, before finally settling in Racine in 2012.
Linda was a faithful & tireless volunteer for helping those in need – facilitating the collection of donated items, volunteering at two churches, but most especially helping women and children. Among her interests, she enjoyed traveling, crafting of all kinds, woodworking, taking classes and workshops.
Surviving Linda are her mother, Sally Lane; children, Tiffany (nee: Cannell ) Mercer and William Cannell III; son-in-law, Seth Mercer; grandson, Kaiden Mercer; fiancé, Brian Fehl; brother, Tommy Lane; in-laws; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends – too numerous to mention all by name. Linda was preceded in death by her father, James Short; and brothers, James Short and Daniel Short.
