
Racine- Lucy Pintar, 79, passed away at WFH- All Saints Medical Center on Sunday, February 17, 2008. Lucy was born in Eileen township, Wisconsin on May 19, 1928 to the late Joseph and Eva (nee: Balen) Pintar. She attended Eileen Grade School and Ashland High School. After her father’s death, she moved with her mother to southeastern Wisconsin. Lucy has lived at Racine Residential Care for over 33 years, a place she called home. She served on the resident board; was active in their various clubs and enjoyed many other activities. Lucy was a member of St. Lucy Catholic Church. She had been employed by Curative Workshop and Goodwill Industries. Lucy cherished times spent with her family and was loved as a special aunt and a kind lady. Surviving are her brother, Nick (Irene) Pintar of Stevens Point; sister-in-law, Margi Pintar of Boulder Junction; 8 nieces and nephews, 23 great-nieces and nephews; 13 great-great nieces and nephews and by her extended family at Racine Residential Care. In addition to her parents, Lucy was preceded in death by her sisters, Katherine (Richard) Campbell and Mary Lou (Kenneth) Kabitsky; and brothers, Tom Pintar and John (Millie) Pintar. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, February 23, 2008 at St. Lucy Catholic Church, 3101 Drexel Ave., at 12:00 noon with Rev. Mark R. Jones officiating. Private interment will take place at St. Peter’s Church Cemetery in Dauby, WI. Visitation will be in the church on Saturday from 11 am – 12 noon. In memory of Lucy, memorials may be made to Racine Residential Care. Words cannot express the gratitude our family has for the wonderful staff of Racine Residential Care for the many years of love and care given to Lucy.
