Racine – Marco Antonio Garcia, 53, received the promise of eternal life on Sunday, May 6, 2018, surrounded by the love of his family.  He was born in Racine on April 1, 1965, son of the late Alfredo and Eileen (Née: Herrera) Garcia.  Marco was united in marriage on May 25, 2002, to the former Margaret Elizabeth Fleming, in Racine.

Marco was a drug and alcohol counselor in Racine.  He loved sports and he was a proud member of Steeler Nation, a Pittsburgh Steelers fan, for those who don’t know.  Marco also was a University of Northern Iowa fan, where his son Rickey Neal, Jr. plays football.  He enjoyed playing dominos, jazz music, and especially loved eating donuts and cookies with his granddaughter, Malonie.  Marco was a true family man and will be dearly missed by all who loved him.

Marco leaves to cherish his memory, his wife, Margaret Garcia; children, Marshall (Alexis) King, Rickeya Neal, Joshua Jenkins, Patience Neal, Charity Franklin, Rickey Neal, Jr., America Gray, Rachel King, Trinity King; god-children, Timothy Williams, Jr., Josiah Williams, Azaryi Williams; grandchildren, Malonie Saffold, Gabriel King, Emmanuel King; sisters, Melba Garcia, Dolores Jackson; brothers, Alfredo (Janice) Garcia, Juan (Delia) Garcia; step-father, Jesse Herrera; brothers-in-law, Demarco Windmon, Edward (Tesa) Zackery, William (Ira) Zacker, Larry Windmon, George Thomas; sisters-in-law, Lashonda Windmon, Raylena Windmon, Cassie Shepherd, Hevenly Thomas; nieces, nephews, other relatives and dear friends too numerous to mention.

In addition to his parents, Marco is preceded in death by his grandparents, Julia and Dale Witter, Dolores Garcia-Ortiz; mother-in-law, Rev. Bonnie Ray Fleming; mother-in-law, Carol Jean Fleming; sister-in-law, Angel Helena Gray; uncle, Angel Ortiz; nieces, Hailey Underwood, Alexis Jackson; and nephew, Joseph Jackson.

A celebration of Marco’s life and homegoing will be held on Saturday, May 12, 2018, 11:00am, at Dominion Church of God MPGT, 402 9th Street, with Apostle Howard Fleming officiating.  Visitation will be from 10:00am until the time of the service.

We, the family of Marco Garcia, greatly appreciate your kindness and expression of sympathy during our time of bereavement.  Words cannot express how much we thank you for all the love and prayers you have provided for our family.  May God continue to bless and keep all of you.

The family would like to extend a special “Thank You” to Patience Neal and Rickeya Neal for the love and care given to Marco during this difficult time.

Juane, I am so sorry you and your family have lost Tiger, so soon. You and I were in diapers when our families met and stayed across from each other on Geneva street. Mom, Dusty and Daddy had me laughing with Tiger stories, we were all reminiscing! Who in Racine doesn’t have a good and funny story about Tiger? He was so good-hearted, caring, kind and always made me laugh and smile when I saw him. Much Love and Blessings to you and the Family! Yolanda Everson-Johnson Family

Testimonials

May 24, 2018

I can’t express my gratitude enough to Mike and the Draeger-Langendorf staff for such great service provided to us, as we made arrangements to lay our brother to rest. You all went above and beyond to make sure we understood every detail there was to know, from the greatest to the smallest. When we walked out of your office, we walked out with peace, knowing that our brother was in good hands. Thank you Mike for adding that special touch to my brother’s service, that’s the kind of stuff that separates you all from the rest. Once again Thank you so much.
