Margaret was a witty vibrant woman. She travelled much of England, and especially enjoyed Ireland, England, and recently Jersey. Margaret met Iain Ormrod on one of her cruises. They “hit it off” and became friends, Iain agreeing to become an unofficial adapted grandson. Iain married Maud. Margaret visited them after they had their first child. It was a sincere, fun loving relationship. Margaret loved corresponding with the Ormrod’s. She delighted in hearing from them and getting photos of the family. Thanks so much to Ian and Maud for their friendship which brought much joy.
Margaret was a supporter of the Humane Society. She has a lovely cat, Mia. Mia stayed closely by Margaret’s side for the last two weeks of her life. I am looking for a good home for Mia who is about 7 years old. Margaret got her from the local Humane Society. If you are interested call me at 262-554-6497.

Some thoughts on Margaret Druse, friend, granny (unofficially adopted) and the only person who could put me in my place. I always thought I had a unique sense of humour but when I met Margaret she not only matched it but did it so much better. This wonderful lady put so many smiles on my face over the years, making me laugh so easily with her wry take on things and quick thinking responses and whenever I thought I was being smart she۪d bring me crashing back down to earth in style. She used to send me cards and packages to my work. There were so many people there looking out for these because they knew that we would find something in there that would entertain us all.
I always found our friendship remarkable considering the great differences between us, age, gender, nationality and attitude to religion, but the one difference between us that made her so great in my eyes was that she would always see the positive and good things wherever they were to be found. She could always use this to pick me up when I needed it and this has tempered my negative views so much over the years. This and the memories of her will mean that although my life is now poorer that she has gone she has left me a better person. Thank you Margaret for all your love.

My sincere sympathy, thoughts and prayers go to any of the living relatives and friends of Margaret. She was a remarkable woman and a family friend and classmate of my mother Ruby Nowicki. She was always there for my mother. Growing up I remember all of my parents friends at the Racine Theater Guild and the close friendships that she and her brother Joe had with all the people who worked there. She is now with Joe and the rest of the people who were so instrumental in making the Theatre Guild the success it is today.
