Lisa Scott Ptacek says
My heart is filled with deep sadness to learn of the death of sweet Marian. Her mother Tonnie and my mother Fran Scott were distant D’Acquisto cousins, but dear and close friends, and we all considered ourselves family. In recent years we had Marian over for lunch and long conversations, and our affection deepened. I was just making plans for our next visit and was stunned to read of her passing. My love goes out to her family. Please keep in touch. Much love, Fran and Lisa
Sue Botzau says
Marian was a very sweet person and one of my mother’s best friends ( Pat Rammelt ). Being the compassionate person she was, I treasured the calls we had after my mom passed. Rest in peace sweet Marian.
Frank D'Acquisto says
I remember Marian in my youth. We were distant cousins, and my mother was close friends with Marian’s mother Gaetana (Tanina as we affectionately called her) who was also my Godmother. They lived on Charles Street on the north side of Racine. I have great memories of visiting their house, where my mother and Tanina would sit, have coffee, and chat. Later in life, I had the chance to reconnect with Marian, and she shared stories about my grandfather, whom I never had the chance to meet as he passed before I was born.
It saddens me that I never got to have that final visit with Marian. This is a reminder of how important it is to stay in touch with our elder family members and friends. I was deeply saddened to hear of her passing. My deepest sympathies go out to Karen, David, and the entire family during this difficult time.
