Racine – Marie Victoria Konesko, 86, passed away at home on September 10, 2011. She was born in Middle Inlet, Wisconsin on August 10, 1925, daughter of the late Louis and Victoria (nee: Krezewina) Boivin. Marie graduated from Wausaukee High School, and then soon moved to Racine. She was married to Felix Konesko, who preceded her in death in 1975.
Marie worked as a teller for many years at the 1st National Bank and Bank One, retiring in 1995. She was a member of St. Edward’s Catholic Church. Marie enjoyed her life and all that it offered, especially the time spent with her children and grandchildren.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Jeffrey and Kathy Konesko of Racine; grandchildren, Jennifer (Chris) Kraase of Greenfield, Rachael (David) Niles of Kenosha, Jeffrey (Kelly) Konesko of Yorkville, and Pfc. Matthew (Ashley) Konesko of Ft. Riley, Kansas; great-grandchildren, Tyler Kraase, Xander, Zane, and Ezekiel Niles, Nadia, and Brianna Konesko; sister, Helen (Leo) Bugalski of Racine, as well as other relatives and friends. She was also preceded by her son, Gary Konesko; 7 brothers and 4 sisters.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, September 16, 2011 at St. Edward’s Catholic Church, 1401 Grove Avenue, with Rev. Allen Bratkowski officiating. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery in Caledonia. Visitation will begin in the church at 10 a.m. in lieu of flowers, memorials to Wheaton Franciscan Hospice or the Wheaton Franciscan Cancer Center have been suggested.
