
Racine- Martha Helen (nee: Orth) Kraemer, 76, passed away at the Wheaton Franciscan Healthcare – All Saints Medical Center on Tuesday, March 20, 2007 following a valiant battle with cancer. A lifetime resident, Martha was born in Racine on April 25, 1930 to the late Jacob N. and Augusta (nee: Bickel) Orth. A graduate of St. Catherine’s High School, she went on to be employed with Twin Disc, Hartman Luggage, Western Printing and Dremel Mfg. On October 20, 1956 in Holy Name Catholic Church, she was united in marriage with Paul Albert Kraemer, who preceded her in death on June 4, 2002. Martha was a member of St. Richard of Chichester Catholic Church. She had a keen sense of creativity especially with crafts, painting and flowers. Martha enjoyed spending time with friends here and in Upper Michigan. An animal enthusiast, she had many pets of her own. Martha cherished the times spent with family especially her grandchildren. Surviving are her daughter, Annette (John) Anderson; grandchildren, Austin and Alyssa Anderson, all of Racine; sisters, Helen Evans and Mary Bauer; sisters-in-law, Marge Orth and Jan Kraemer; brothers-in-law, Alan Kraemer and John Kondrot; special friends, Rhea Braun, Jon Larson, Shirley Barth and Ray Burge; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents and husband, Martha was preceded in death by her brothers, George W., Edmond, Jerome and George D. Orth; brothers-in-law, Robert Bauer and Richard “Dick” Evans; and sister-in-law, Marliea “Dolly” Kondrot. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, March 24, 2007 in St. Richard Catholic Church, 1501 Grand Avenue – Racine, at 11:00 am. A reception will follow in Vogel Hall at church. Visitation will be held at church on Saturday from 9:30 – 11:00 am. In accordance with Martha’s wishes, cremation will take place after the services and will be entombed at Holy Cross Cemetery. In memory of Martha, memorials to All Saints Cancer Center has been suggested. A special note of thanks to Dr. Michael P. Mullane and to the staff at Wheaton Franciscan – All Saints Medical Center for the compassionate end-of-life care that was so gently extended.

She will always be in my heart and the many fond memories of her of the times we have spent together…walking,laughing,
complaining,doing crafts,eating,watching TV,taking the dogs out,yelling…..oh so much more.
I will deeply miss her esp. her laughter.
