
Racine- Mary Ann (nee: Feil) Perrelle, 74 , passed away unexpectedly, yet peacefully, at Wheaton Franciscan – All Saints on Tuesday, May 17, 2011 at 11:14 pm.
A lifetime resident, Mary Ann was born in Racine on September 30, 1936 to the late Frank and Catherine (nee: Kropp) Feil, Sr. She graduated from St. Catherine’s High School in 1955. On August 6, 1955 in St. Edward’s Catholic Church, she was united in marriage with the love of her life, Eugene R. Perrelle.
Mary Ann and Gene were charter members of St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church and, through the years, were also active at St. Lucy Catholic Church. She was also a member of the Vittoria Colonna at Roma Lodge and of the Catholic Women’s League. Mary Ann was a golf fanatic, having been involved in numerous leagues for many years. She was also a superb cook who loved entertaining family and friends. Mary Ann was an avid reader and enjoyed playing games – especially Machan. For the past 20 years, Mary Ann and Gene spent their winters in Florida. Above all, she absolutely loved her family and was so very proud of her children and grandchildren.
Surviving are her loving husband of nearly 56 years, Gene; their children, Mark (Christine) Perrelle, Tim (Stacy) Perrelle and Ginna (Bill) Hasley; grandchildren, Annmarie, Joe, Nicholas, Kara and Jake Perrelle; brother, Frank (Joan) Feil, Jr.; brother-in-law, Jack Burant; sisters-in-law, Yvonne Ewers (Gary Myers) and Debbie Wolff; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends too numerous to mention by name.
In addition to her parents, Mary Ann was preceded in death by her brother, Bernie Feil; sister, Cathy Burant; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Chester and Edith (nee: Aiello) Perrelle; sisters-in-law, Rosemarie Follet and Lucille Meyer; and brothers-in-law, Earl Rago, Wes Follet, Roger Meyer, David Ewers and Craig Wolff.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, May 23, 2011 at 11 am in St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church, 6400 Spring Street, with Rev. William J. Dietzler officiating. Entombment will follow in the mausoleum chapel of Holy Cross Cemetery. Visitation will be in the funeral home on Sunday from 4-7 pm (Vittoria Colonna service at 6 pm) and in the church on Monday from 10-11 am. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Health Care Network, Inc. has been suggested.
A special note of thanks to the nursing staff at Wheaton Franciscan – All Saints ICU and 3B for the compassionate care and support during the past five months. May God bless all of you!
