Mary E. Lampos, age 84, of Kenosha, WI, entered eternal life on October 21, 2017. Mary was born in Kenosha and was the daughter of the late Katherine and Steve Lampos. She graduated from Mary D. Bradford High School in 1952 and worked for Jockey International for 45 years before retiring in 1999.
Mary was a warm, fun loving, and welcoming person who was always surrounded by friends. She also was a devoted church member of Kimissis Greek Orthodox Church. Her other passion was the caring of animals – be it birds, cats, or dogs.
Mary is survived by her loving partner of over 60 years, Betty Borgardt, her sister, Christine Lampos, four nieces, one nephew, and eight great nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents and sister and brother-in-law, Elaine and George Petrow.
Memorial contributions may be made to Kimissis Greek Orthodox Church in Racine or to the Humane Society of Kenosha.
Services will held at Kimissis Greek Orthodox Church in Racine, 1335 S Green Bay Rd. on Tuesday 10/24. Visitation from 10am to 11am, followed by the service at 11am. Internment will be at Sunset Ridge Memorial Park in Kenosha on Wednesday, 10/25 at 10:30am.
