
Michael H. Andreasen, 58, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, June 1, 2011. Michael was born in Kenosha on March 13, 1953, the son of the late Christian and Irene (nee: Langerman) Andreasen.
Mike graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire with a degree in communications. On December 28, 1974, in Our Lady of the Wayside Catholic Church, in Arlington Heights, IL, he was united in marriage to the former Kathleen Olsson. At one time, Mike was part owner and station manager of WRJN Radio; he was also part owner of Security Insurance, which was later bought by David Insurance. Mike was the Mt. Pleasant President for two years and Village Administrator for five years. He was a longtime member of the Lutheran Church of the Resurrection, where he served as a trustee and later as president for eight years. Mike was a member and past president of Rotary West. He served as President of Salmon-A-Rama for two years. He was a season ticket holder for the Brewers, a Packer fan, and motorcycle enthusiast, a true “Harley Guy”. He enjoyed traveling, photography, and was a music lover.
Surviving are his loving wife, Kathy; their sons, Christian Andreasen, of Kenosha, and Joseph Andreasen; sister, Christine Andreasen; and mother-in-law, Catherine Olsson, all of Racine. In addition to his parents, Mike was preceded in death by his father-in-law, Carl Olsson.
His Funeral Service will be held in the Lutheran Church of the Resurrection, 322 Ohio St., on Monday, June 6th, at 11:00 a.m., with Rev. James Barsch officiating. Visitation will be in the funeral home on Sunday from 1:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. and in the church on Monday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Burial will follow in West Lawn Memorial Park.

I have known Mike for a long time and have always found him intellegent and funny. We were in Boy Scouts together and I have many fond memories of those times. The world loses a great guy, but we know he is resting in God's hands today. Rest in peace buddy!!!! Tom
