In loving memory of our dearest Michael O’Larry Winn, the world mourns the loss of a kind-hearted soul who graced us with his presence for 78 years. Born on December 7, 1945, in Ogema, WI, Michael left a lasting impact on all those who were fortunate enough to know him.
Michael was united in marriage to the love of his life, Carlien “Charlie” Helen Jozwiak, on September 19, 1964, in Milwaukee. Carlien “Charlie” preceded him in death on June 14, 2024.
A skilled mechanic in the trucking industry, Michael dedicated years of hard work to Donner Packing, Veterans Truck Line, and Chrysler, leaving a lasting impact on his colleagues and friends. His passion for his work was matched only by his love for his family.
Fond memories of Michael will live on through the stories shared by those who knew him best. In his leisure time, Michael found joy in the simple pleasures of life – relishing moments with loved ones, sharing stories, and enjoying a well-deserved drink. His passion for deer hunting, camping expeditions with family, and participating in the Combine Demolition Derby brought him immense happiness and unforgettable memories.
In his personal life, Michael was a loving husband to the late Carlien Helen Winn and a caring father to his children, Michelle (Steven McDowell) Winn and Steven Winn. His grandson, Madison Michael McDowell, brought him immense joy and pride. He is further survived by his siblings, Clarine Winn, Lorraine “Skip” (Kenneth) Borca, Bert “Butch” (Loretta) Winn, and Colin Winn. Michael’s family extended beyond blood, as he found kinship in his brothers-in-law, Willy Obert, Patrick (Judy) Jozwiak, Michael Jozwiak, Robert Jozwiak, Charles Urbaniak, sisters-in-law, Edie Balistreri, Patricia Jozwiak, other relatives and friends too numerous to mention.
In addition to his parents and wife, Michael is preceded in death by his sister, Arlene Obert, brothers-in-law, John Jozwiak, Jeffery Jozwiak, and in-laws, Alois Jozwiak and Louise Urbaniak.
Services for Michael will be private for his family.
The family would like to extend a heart-felt “Thank You” to Donna Perry for her love, support, and friendship given to our family over the years.
As we prepare to lay Michael to rest, let us find solace in the memories we shared, the laughter we enjoyed, and the love that will forever remain in our hearts. Join us in bidding farewell to a remarkable man who touched the lives of so many. May he rest in peace and may his soul find solace in the embrace of tranquility, knowing that he was deeply loved and will never be forgotten.
