Service Details
Her Victorious Homegoing Service will be held in the funeral home on Friday, June 2nd, at 11:00 a.m. with Bishop Melvin Crittenden officiating. Visitation will be, in the funeral home, on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the Service. Burial will follow in Green Ridge Cemetery, Kenosha.

Mother Eva Lee Carey, passed away in her home on Monday, May 22, 2017. She was born to the late Arttie and Maella Hubbard in Macon, MS. February 5, 1940.
Eva and Albert moved to Chicago, IL in 1966. She worked for Jewel Store, Factory, and Chicago Edging Company for many years. She retired and met the love of her life in 1974, her husband, Clarence Carey who passed away in 1991. She was a foster parent for years in Chicago and a child care provider for Kenosha County.
She enjoyed sewing, decorating, gardening, and shopping. Mother Carey was baptized in Jesus Name in 1981. She received the precious gift of the Holy Ghost few years later. She was a member of the Bethel Apostolic Church under the late Bishop Odears Wright in Chicago, IL.
She moved to Kenosha in 1995 to be around her son, Willie, and daughter, Sister Betty, and family. She became a member of Bethlehem Temple Church under the late Bishop Jerry Baldwin, Sr. for many years. She was faithful. She worked as a chairperson at Foreign Mission for years. She worked on the Tarrying Committee. She served water for the pulpit. She did Sunday School attendance book for years.
She leaves to cherish her loving memories of her children, Albert Brown, Betty (David) Varnell, Andrew Brown of Kenosha, Oscar and Anthony Brown of Chicago; adopted daughter Patricia Carey of Racine; nineteen grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Sammy Corner of MS, George Hubbard of PA; two sisters Minnie Sutton of Ohio, Beatrice (John) Johnson, PA; and one sister-in-law, Minnie Carey of Chicago.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Carey; children, Robert, Willie, Charles, Brenda; step-daughters, Patricia Carey, Valerie Cary, Felecia (Nelson) Green; step-son Vincent Carey; a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
