FRANKSVILLE – Origen (Ori) Perkins passed away peacefully on October 31, 2013, at Seasons Hospice in Waukesha.
Ori was born on January 31, 1945, to Nina M. Perkins and Origen S. Perkins.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Nina Perkins, and his sister, Rhoda Ann Perkins. He is survived by his wife, Betsy Georg, of Franksville; his father, Origen Perkins Sr., of Rhodelia, Kentucky; and his sister, Judith Shoaf, also of Rhodelia; his brothers, Stanton Perkins and Christopher Perkins, both of Fresno, California; and his daughter, Disa Perkins, of California.
Ori graduated from Catholic Memorial High School in 1963. He later received a degree in mechanical engineering from UW-Madison and worked as an engineer for several employers.
In addition to being an accomplished engineer, Ori was an outdoorsman and a man of many ideas. He enjoyed sailing, gardening, and creating fine vegetarian recipes. He will be greatly missed by his family, friends, and cats.
The family would like to express their appreciation to the staff of Seasons Hospice and Palliative Care in Waukesha, Wisconsin, for their care, kindness, and compassion.
Family and friends are invited to meet at Mount Pleasant Lutheran Church (1700 S. Green Bay Rd.) on Thursday, November 21, 2013 at 5:00 p.m. for a service celebrating his life with Rev. Kara F. Baylor officiating. There will be a visitation in the church on Thursday from 4:30 p.m. until the time of the service. A private burial took place at Prairie Home Cemetery in Waukesha on November 6, 2013. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Kenosha-Racine Land Trust or to the Friends of the Library are suggested by the family.

Judy, I’m so sorry to hear about Ori my sympathy to you. You & I went to school together at StMary.And my Mom used to clean your parents house.You,Rhoda & I went to KY by bus the year we were in 5th grade to your grandparents over Christmas break, remember? Again my sympathy to you & the family.
