Petals by FeliciaRacine – Pastor Aldred Willie Scaife, age 86, peacefully transitioned into eternal rest on December 5, 2024, at his home. He was born on July 7, 1938, in Marvell, Arkansas, to the late James and Anna (née Bridges) Scaife.
At twelve years old, Aldred accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior while attending New Hope M.B. Church in Coffee Creek, Arkansas, under the leadership of Pastor Moses Scaife Sr.
In 1957, Aldred moved to Racine, Wisconsin. In 1961 Aldred was drafted into the United States Army and served from 1961 to 1963 as a sharpshooter stationed in Munich, Germany. He later continued his service with the Army Reserves for an additional four years.
In October 1968, Aldred met Ruby J. Scaife (née Simpson), and they have been together ever since. Their relationship grew into a lifelong partnership, and marriage on August 24, 1976. They shared over 48 years of love, and marriage. Aldred spent over 30 years at AMC/Chrysler, retiring in 1988. In December 1977, Aldred received a divine calling to preach and subsequently founded Holy Disciple Pentecostal Church, where he faithfully served as pastor for 37 years before retiring, and uniting at Trinity United Baptist Church.
Pastor Scaife was deeply passionate about serving his church and community. His musical talents, which included singing in the Male Christian Quartet and playing the piano and guitar, were a blessing to all who knew him. He found peace and joy in serving God.
Aldred was preceded in death by his son, Patrick Aldred Scaife; his great-granddaughter, Tranasia Bridges; his parents; six sisters: Early-Mae, Oceola, Gladys, Helen, Vivian, and Esterlene; two brothers, James Jr. and Harvest; and ten brothers-in-law and four sisters-in-law.
He is survived by his devoted wife of over 48 years, Ruby; daughters, Shronda Green (Caledonia, WI) and Piper Bridges (Racine, WI); and son, Alexander (Tonya) Pasco (Las Vegas, NV); grandchildren, Tranell (Michelle) Bridges (Peoria, AZ), Melvin Bridges Jr. (Atlanta, GA), Whitney Green and Issaih Bridges (Racine, WI), De-naya, Delana, Alexis, Alize, Allen and Laila Pasco (Las Vegas, NV); bonus grandson Mario Stephens (Atlanta, GA) nine great-grandchildren; one brother, Cleveland Scaife; sisters-in-laws, Charlene McLaurie and Dora Simpson; along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and good friend, Deacon J.C. Dunbar.

I can truly say Pastor Scaife with Evangelist by his side did the Lord’s work. During the time of both my parent’s illness and transition he was right there to keep us encouraged and filled with hope that comes from God. When I myself, became a Pastor, he often came to sing and help raise funds for the church. As Christians we are supposed to give of our time, talent, and treasure, Pastor Scaife did exactly that! He was going through things himself, but he always made time for God’s work and God’s people. He was a great soldier of integrity. The Word says to be absent from the body, allows us to be present with the Lord. He excelled in being a humble servant of God, and I am sure God said, well done, my good and faithful servant! Family, I know it is hard, but God can heal even our grief. Bless You!

My heartfelt and most sincere sympathies to the family. Pastor Scaife was and will forever remain a treasured blessing to the Billups family, always readily available to offer guidance and care. His remarkable leadership as a shepherd during my time at Holy Disciple Pentecostal Church left an indelible mark on my life. The sacraments he performed, baptizing me and christening my dear daughter JaNiyah, whom he adored dearly, are cherished memories. I felt truly blessed to have visited the quaint little country church in Arkansas that he so fondly sang about. Pastor A. W. Scaife, your legacy of love, compassion, and devotion will forever be celebrated and remembered. To the Scaife Family, I express my deepest gratitude for sharing him with us, and you are all enveloped in my thoughts and prayers.
