Kenosha– Paul N. Gebhart, age 89, passed away peacefully at Kindred – South in Kenosha on Thursday, February 7, 2013.
Paul was born in Annville, Pennsylvania on January 19, 1924 to the late Albert and Carrie (nee: Brandt) Gebhart. He proudly served our Country with the United States Air Force in WWII.
On October 26, 2012 in Kenosha, he was united in marriage with Roberta Becker. Among his interests, Paul enjoyed coin collecting, spending time with his canine companions and had a special gift for making children laugh. He was extremely patriotic – being a lifetime member of the VFW Post 1865 and also belonged to the American Legion.
Surviving are his wife, Roberta Becker, children, April Earehart, Indiana, and Dennis Gebhart, Texas; brother, Earl Gebhart, Kenosha; local nieces and nephews, Carol (Ned) Brooks, Jean (Robert) Schroeder, Thomas Gebhart, Elizabeth (Gregory) Graziano, Marianne (Carmine) Ziccarelli and Richard Gebhart; other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and sisters, Violet Shockley and Evelyn Kipp, Lebanon, PA.
A memorial service celebrating Paul’s life, with military honors, will be held in the chapel of Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery (21731 Spring Street in Union Grove) on Friday, February 15, 2013 at 1:00 pm.
