
Racine- Raymond Lewis Bodi, age 58, passed away at Wheaton Franciscan – All Saints Medical Center on Thursday, March 13, 2014.
Ray graduated from JI Case High School in 1974. Ray loved spending time with his family and friends, as well as reading the Bible and listening to music.
Ray is survived by his brothers, Tom (Kathy) Bodi, Ken (Debbi) Bodi, Rick (Sue) Bodi and David Bodi; sister, Sue (Bill) Howland; nieces, nephews, devoted caregivers and friends. Ray was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Margaret; sister, Mary; grandparents, aunts and uncles.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, March 17, 2014 at 11:00 am in St. Lucy Catholic Church, 3101 Drexel Avenue, with Rev. Mark R. Jones and Rev. David J. Bergner officiating. Private interment will take place in Holy Family Cemetery, Hwy 31. Visitation will be in the church on Monday from 10-11 am. In lieu of flowers, memorials to St. Lucy Church or to NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Illness) have been suggested.
A special thank you to Ray’s caregivers at Faith Community Group Home who provided Ray with loving, compassionate care.

Ray was the first guy to teach me how to tackle when he tackled me head first into the fence at BeBe school back in about 1973. RIP Ray.
