Family and friends are invited to meet in the Draeger-Langendorf Funeral Home and Crematory on Monday, November 18th for a visitation from 4:00 pm – 6:00 pm.
A prayer service will follow at 6:00 pm with Bishop Lawrence L. Kirby officiating.
A Homegoing service will take place at First Baptist Church in Courtland, AL. on November 25, 2024 at 12:00 pm. Reynolds Funeral Home in Decatur, AL will be handling the services in Alabama. (256-353-6602)

Miller's FlowersRACINE – Rhodell (Swoope) Hill, 84, passed away at Ascension All Saints on Monday, November 11, 2024.
Rhodell was born in Wheeler, AL on September 25, 1940. She was the 4th child of 12 children born to Annie B. (Lyle) Gilchrist. The family later moved to Courtland, AL where she graduated from Courtland Colored High School. She accepted Christ at an early age and became a member of First Baptist Church in Courtland.
In 1965, she relocated to Racine, WI to marry her longtime love, Sam Hill. They remained united in marriage for 48 years until the time of his passing on October 15, 2013.
Rhodell retired from Moxness Products where she was a dedicated employee for over 20 years.
She was longtime, faithful member of St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church. She enjoyed spending time in her flower garden, watching westerns, and being in the company of her family.
Rhodell is survived by her children, Edwin “Mike” (Latasha) Hill, Calvert Hill, Teresa Hill, and Priscilla Hammond; her grandchildren, Miricle, Mahkyla, Marvell, Devell, Aaron, Symoria, Melodi and Promize; her godson, Eric McCurtis; her brothers and sisters, Clarence (Helen) Gilchrist, Ella Hunter, Natus Gilchrist, Gloria (Kenneth) Davis, Freddie (Syrvillia) Gilchrist, and Joe Gilchrist; as well as many dear nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Annie B. Gilchrist, husband, Sam Hill and her siblings, Lillie Jones, Dorothy Pride, Claude Barby, Flora Smith, and Ann Gilchrist.
