
Rita Bocanegra, 59, passed away at her residence on Sunday, December 4, 2011.
She was born in Racine on April 7, 1952, the daughter of Pablo and Ava (nee: Cruz) Amaya.
Her survivors include her husband, Cumesindo Bocanegra; daughters, Lisa Bocanegra and Tina (Joe Torres) Bocanegra; grandchildren, Tommie Kelley, Storm Bocanegra, Xavier Kelley, Santana Kelley, Braden Bocanegra; future great granddaughter due in March 2012, Alaiyah Unique Kelley; parents, Pablo and Ava Amaya; brothers and sisters, Miguel (Patricia) Amaya, Blanca (Tom) Webers, Albert Amaya, Alicia (James) Palencia, Anna Amaya-Tunistra, Robert (Jodi) Amaya; mother-in-law, Elia Bocanegra of Lake City, FL; as well as many brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, loving godchildren, cousins and dear friends. Rita was preceded in death by her grandson, Chico Kelley; brothers, Richard, O.C., Danny and Pablo Amaya, II and father-in-law, Hipolito Bocanegra.
Family and friends are invited to meet at the Draeger-Langendorf Funeral Home on Friday, December 9, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. for the celebration of Rita’s life with Rev. Ronald J. Gramza officiating. There will be a time to meet with the family on Friday from 10-11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the family would be appreciated.
