Family and friends are invited to meet in the Draeger-Langendorf Funeral Home and Crematory on Saturday, May 18, 2024, for a visitation from 4:00 pm until 5:00 pm.
A service celebrating and remembering his life will follow at 5:00 pm and will conclude with Military Honors.
A private interment will take place at the Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Union Grove.
WILD ROSE (FORMERLY OF RACINE) – Mr. Robert J. Jacobson, affectionately known as Jake, passed away at Rosemore Village in Wild Rose on April 29, 2024.
He was born in Racine on April 9, 1938, the son of the late Hans and Helen (nee Helfrich, Jacobson) Thilleman. He was raised by his mother and stepfather, the late Russell S. Jacobson.
Jake served his nation with the US Army, often boasting his number of jumps out of airplanes. He took great pride of his time in the Army as well as Johnson Wax for 32 years and recalled memories with great fondness. He was an avid outdoorsman and was a life member of both the Wisconsin Bowhunters and the NRA. Jake liked to take boat rides, fish, and camp with his wife . Jake enjoyed bowling in his able years and his forever love of playing cribbage until the end.
Jake will be forever remembered as a loving dedicated husband to Lucy, a wonderful step father, and loving grandfather to his grandchildren. He was a giving, and caring friend who would never think twice about helping his loved ones, neighbors and friends. Care givers remember him as a loving, sweet man who was a joy in each person’s day.
He lived in Racine 1938 – 1995, 2011- 2020, Waterford 1995 – 2001, Appleton 2001- 2011, Neenah 2020 -2021, Wild Rose 2021 – 2024.
Jake is survived by his stepdaughter, Allison (Ted) DeJardin of Wild Rose; his stepson, James (Kristy) Boyle of Union Grove; Kim Glassen, Melissa Jacobson; his grandchildren, Abygail Boyle, McKayla Boyle, Kevin Konetzke, Jr., Emily Boyle, Keith Konetzke, Connor Glassen, Camryn Glassen; his sister, Jackie Michetti; as well as nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Jake was preceded in death by his wife, Lucille Jacobson, and his brother, Ron Thilleman.

I’m sorry to just find out about this. My cousin “Bobby”, was my Big cousin. The last time I saw him was at my Dad’s funeral. Sorry that we lost contact. He was a good guy.
