Racine – On Wednesday, August 7, 2019, Ronald Antony Sutton, age 64, loving husband and father of six children, passed away at Village at Manor Park in West Allis, Wisconsin.
Ronald was born on August 9, 1954 in Cairo, Illinois, to John and Ora Lee (nee: Brown) Sutton. At the age of 10 Ronald’s family relocated and he spent his teen years in Decatur, Illinois, then as a young adult he moved to Racine, Wisconsin. On May 26, 2004, he was joined in holy matrimony to Sonja Therese (nee: Holland) Sutton.
He received his certification and license to provide childcare and became the co-owner with his wife of Agape Family Childcare Center.
Ronald loved being with his family. He also enjoyed cooking and was admired for his wide array of culinary creations. The children in the daycare could never get enough of his famous chili. He was also a great music lover. He loved the 1970’s Rhythm & Blues love songs and The Williams Brothers was his favorite gospel group. He was known for his quick wit, encouraging words, joyfulness, and his kind and compassionate spirit.
Ronald was preceded in death by his parents John and Ora Lee; siblings Margie Sutton, Johnny Sutton, Lee Andrew (Connie) Sutton, Michael (Claudia) Sutton, Brenda (George) Rowe and Dorothy Sutton; his son Johnny Sutton and nephews Daryl Sutton and George Nichols. He is survived by his wife Sonja; his two daughters Angela Holland, Erica (Daselle) Holland-Bell; his three sons Anthony Jemison, Tyson (Erica) Sutton and Angelo Bell; his grandchildren Nick, Samantha, Akem, Asia, Isreonna, Amaya, Amir and Amorah; his great-grandchildren; special great great-niece Stazia Miller; special nephews Ravion, Josh and Isaiah; his two brothers Kenneth and Gary; his beautiful sister Ina Rae (Anthony) as well as a host of other relatives and friends whom he loved dearly.
A Celebration of Ronald’s Life will be held on Friday, August 23, 2019, 12:00pm in the Chapel of Draeger-Langendorf Funeral Home, 4600 County Line Rd., Racine, WI. Visitation will be in the chapel from 11:00am until the time of service. Elder James Mann will be officiating.
