
Ronald G. Kroll, Sr., 77, passed away peacefully on November 20, 2015, at Select Specialty Hospital in West Allis after a brief but courageous battle against cancer. He was born in Waukesha on August 9, 1938, son of the late Walter and Helen (Née: Brzenzinski) Kroll.
Ron was employed by J.I. Case from 1963 until his retirement in 1993. After his retirement, he operated a lawn service for fourteen years. He was a member of Mt. Pleasant Lutheran Church, the Case Twenty Year Club, UAW Local 180 retirees, and served on the election committee for the Local 180 retirees.
Ron was an avid hunter and fisherman, making several trips to Wyoming. He enjoyed camping with his family and friends. He was proud to have received his Wisconsin Conceal Carry License. Ron did small engine and lawn mower repairs as well as many woodworking projects. He was an avid Green Bay Packer and NASCAR fan. Ron will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
Ron is survived by three sons, Dean (Judith) Kroll of Mount Pleasant, NC, Ronald (Val) Kroll, Jr. of Zephyrillis, FL, Tim (Adelle) Kroll of Rougemont, NC; two daughters, Alice (Spencer) Kressig, Barbara Kressig, both of Racine; special friend, Karen Tyykila; mother of Ron’s sons, Lorraine Bartelt; 11 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; nieces, Sharon (Tom) Bissennette, Judy (Al) Shutz, Janet Lindemann; nephew, David Kroll; other relatives and dear friends too numerous to mention.
In addition to his parents, Ron is preceded in death by his wife, Carol; brother, Norman; and three sisters, Florence, Grace, and Margaret.
Visitation will be held on Friday, December 4, 2015, 4:00pm until 7:00pm, at Draeger-Langendorf Funeral Home and Crematory, 4600 County Line Road. The celebration of Ron’s life will be held at the funeral home on Saturday, December 5, 2015, 11:00am, with Rev. Christine Thomas-Echelbarger officiating. Visitation on Saturday will be from 10:00am until the time of the service. Burial will follow at West Lawn Memorial Park.
A special “Thank You” to the staff at Select Specialty Hospital for their skill and compassion in caring for Ron.

We will miss our Lake Park neighbor, and friend. He was a great mechanic and helped fix and maintain our lawn equipment for years. We enjoyed many Friday night fish fry’s with Ron and Karen.
