Racine- Rudy C. Malke, 37, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, April 5, 2008 as the result of a tragic motorcycle accident that occurred in Somers. Rudy was born in Racine on December 4, 1970. He lived in the Racine and Kenosha area all of his life. A master craftsman, Rudy was employed for many years as an expeditor for Newport Builders. Recently, he founded his own company, Area Remodels. Rudy had a tremendous zest for life. He enjoyed building, carpentry, listening to music, cooking and grilling out. Rudy loved being outdoors and had a profound appreciation of God’s Country. He cherished being on his Harley-Davidson motorcycle and will be remembered for his love of having a good time with his family and friends. Rudy, you will never be forgotten! Surviving to mourn his passing are his daughter, Jessica Coleman, age 16, of Germantown; son, Christopher Malke, age 12, of Racine; mother, Karen Malke of Sturtevant; grandmother, Elsie Peterson of Peshtigo; aunts, Jean (Jerry) Bose of Kenosha and Jane Brule of Racine; and uncle, Dale Malke of Peshtigo. Further surviving are special cousins, relatives and many, many friends too numerous to mention by name. Rudy was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Rudolph Malke in 1956 and Alfred Peterson in 1987. Funeral services will be held on Friday, April 11, 2008 at 10:00 am in Faith Lutheran Church, 8500 Durand Ave. in Sturtevant, with Rev. Jeffrey Mortenson officiating. Interment will follow in West Lawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be in the funeral home, 4600 County Line Rd., on Thursday from 5-8 pm and in the church on Friday from 9-10 am. “The Lord is my Shepherd, I shall not want.”

Rudy will be greatly missed. He was a bright light of sunshine in all of our lives. It is a terrible loss for everyone and I am deeply sorry for Christopher. His Dad loved him very much and I hope he never forgets it.

I am very sorry about your loss. It hurts when a loved one and a friend passes but when they are so young and have so much more to live for and do with their life it hurts even more. I know Rudy loved his son and his daughter very much as he used to talk about them when we would see each other out riding in the summer. It was nice to see him as often as I did and to know at one time we lived right down the street from each other. I have lots of good memories of Rudy and will never forget them, his smile or Rudy himself.

Karen, I just learned of Rudy’s death and that his service was this morning. I am so sorry I found out too late to be there. It is hard to put into words how badly I feel for you. I know you and Rudy had a very special love for each other.
I tried to call the number I have for you but it won’t go through so perhaps it has changed. When you feel up to it, please give me a call. My office is 262 524-4167.
My deepest sympathy to you and your family, Karen.
Love,
Pam
