
SALLY JEAN GONZALEZ RACINE – Sally Jean Gonzalez, 57, passed away at her home surrounded by her loving family on Thursday, February 9, 2006. She was born in Racine on September 12, 1948, the daughter of Forrest and Izora (nee: Heather) Hollister. Sally’s childhood was spent in the Osseo and Foster area, but she lived in Racine most of her life. She was married to Ambrosio Gonzalez on October 25, 1969, in Foster. Sally was a loving wife and mother, who treasured the time she spent with her family. She was a faithful and very active member of the Lutheran Church of the Resurrection and was employed by Ruud Lighting. The relationships she developed at church and work were also very important to her. She is survived by her children, Kevin (Meredith) Gonzalez, Cory (Rachel Garvey) Gonzalez, Matthew Gonzalez, Bruce (Patty) Gonzalez, all of Racine, and Peggy Gonzalez of Clermont, Fla.; grandchildren, Mario Gonzalez, Chad Gonzalez, Michelle Bolman, Melissa Gonzalez, Hayden Gonzalez, Maya Gonzalez, Susan Gonzalez, Daniel Gonzalez, and Abby Gonzalez; great-grandchildren, Mario David Gonzalez, Tianna Gonzalez, Ambrosio Gonzalez, and Madilyn Bolman; her mother, Izora Hollister of Osseo; brothers and sisters, Elaine (Mike) Nelson of Cassville, Walter (Roxanne) Hollister of Fayetteville, N.C., Peggy (Elmer) Hollister of Potosi, Paul (Sandra) Hollister, Lois (Todd Nelson) Hollister, both of Osseo, Henry (Lona) Hollister of Independence, Norman (Jana) Hollister of Eau Claire, and Rose Adams of Tampa, Fla.; her aunt, Gladys Erdmann of Pleasant Prairie; and many other relatives and friends. She was preceded by her husband; her father; her uncle, Melvin Erdmann; and niece, Melissa Smith. Memorial services for Sally will be held at the Lutheran Church of the Resurrection on Monday, February 13, 2006, at 2 p.m. with Dr. Melvin Miritz officiating. All are invited to visit with the family in the church beginning at 12 noon. Memorials to the Susan G. Komen Foundation for Breast Cancer Research have been suggested.
