Mount Pleasant – Scott A. Wilear, 59, passed away at home due to complications of a long term illness. He was born in Anchorage, Alaska on February 12, 1952, son of the late Jerome and Pearl (nee: Hansen) Wilear. Scott was a 1970 graduate of Case High School, and had been a Racine county resident for most of his life.
Scott enjoyed a successful career as an architectural designer for several firms in S.E. Wisconsin, and the efforts of his work will be seen in many buildings in the Racine and Kenosha area for years to come. He enjoyed sailing on Lake Michigan, taking fishing trips to Crandon, was an avid Packers fan, but nothing was more important to him than family, friends, and the unconditional love he had for them. Scott was one of the nicest men you could know and will be missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by his beloved daughters, Heidi Andersen of Mount Pleasant, and Kristin (Justin) Graf of Kenosha; granddaughter, Taylor Marie Harvey; and sister, Leslie (Tim) Peterson of Sun City West, Arizona. He is further survived by his former wife, Sue Wilear of Mount Pleasant; his lifetime best friends and their families, Dale and Vicki Steger (Abi, Brooke, and Robbie), Willie and Katie Priaulx (Nick) all of Mt. Pleasant; and his K-9 buddy, Sadie.
A memorial service will be held in the funeral home at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 14, 2012 with Rev. Dr. Warren D. Williams officiating. Visitation will begin at 9:00 a.m.

Scott has been a close friend since the mid 70’s through sailing at the Racine Yacht Club. Never met a finer man, totally devoted to his family and an awesome story teller.
