Family and friends are invited to meet in the Draeger-Langendorf Funeral Home and Crematory on Monday, February 12, 2024, for a visitation from 3:30 pm – 5:30 pm.
A service celebrating Shirley’s life will follow at 5:30 pm with Rev. Beth Ann Stone.
A private interment will take place at the Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery.

Miller's FlowersRACINE – Mrs. Shirley Ann Krekling, 88, passed away at her residence on Monday, February 5, 2024.
She was born in Deer River, MN on April 5, 1935, the daughter of the late Gilman and Martha (nee Floro) Hagen.
Shirley married John Louis Krekling on February 18, 1956, at Gethsemane Lutheran Church in Racine, where they remained long time members until the church’s closing. Together, they owned and operated Krekling Decorating for 20 years until retirement in 1998. John preceded her in death on July 25, 2023.
Shirley was a member of Mount Pleasant Lutheran Church and enjoyed knitting, reading, movies, occasional trips to the casino, and spending winters with John in Las Vegas. However, she was happiest in the company of her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Shirley is survived by her children, John A. (Betty) Krekling, Susan (Jim) Tofte, Timothy (Sari) Krekling and James (Brenda Bursek ) Krekling; grandchildren, Kevin (Denise) Krekling, Chris (Betsy) Krekling, Katy (Josh) Leinberger, Sam Tofte, Patrick (Lyndsay) Tofte, Andrew (Megan) Krekling, Emily (Jason) Sinnen, Abby (fiancé, Collin McAtee) Krekling, Veronica Bursek-Krekling, John R. Krekling and Isaac Taylor; great-grandchildren, Jack & Ellie Krekling, Julian & Joni Krekling, Connor & Charlie Sinnen, Blake & Emma Krekling, Nora & Henry Leinberger; her brother-in-law and sisters-in-law, Wayne Krekling, Mary Boudreau, Pauline (Wes) Bose, and Kathy (Dave) Karlsen; as well as many dear nieces, nephews, and extended family.
In addition to her parents and husband, John, Shirley was preceded in death by her sisters and brother, Betty (George “Whitey”) Atcheson, Dorothy (James) Dykstra, Richard (Marlene) Hagen; John’s parents, Harry and Mildred Krekling; and her brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Thomas Krekling, Bobby Krekling, Dick Boudreau, Sue Krekling, and Ann Krekling.
