
RACINE – Mrs. Shirley F. Chambers, 81, died at Woodstock Healthcare Center in Kenosha on Thursday, November 15, 2007. She was born in Kenosha on July 14, 1926 to the late Chester and Laura (nee: Krome) Finkbeiner. Mrs. Chambers worked many years as a bus driver, driving for schools and later the Belle Urban System. She enjoyed playing Bingo, watching the Packers and especially spending her Wednesday afternoons with the “Lunch Bunch.” Her survivors include her sons, Larry (Susan) Chambers of Reno, NV, Terry (Terri) Chambers of Racine; grandchildren, Jessica and Melinda Chambers of Racine; sister-in-law, Arlene Knight of Plainfield, WI and nephew, Rick (Janine) Finkbeiner of Iowa. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward “Bud” Chambers in 1971 and by her brother, Richard Finkbeiner. There will be a committal service held in the chapel at West Lawn Memorial Park on Monday, November 19, 2007 at 9:00 a.m. Burial will follow.
