Racine – Born on April 28, 1939, and raised in Raymond Wisconsin, Sid grew up relishing life on the farm and all of the adventures that a boy could have at a time when there was still plenty of room to roam. He cherished the fact that he was able to experience life in a much simpler time, when some farms still worked the land with horses and you lit lamps in the house to read by or enjoyed your programs listening to the radio. Sid had many successes in life, including being proud of holding the position of Midwest Regional Director of Operations for the National Farmers Organization (NFO), a position he loved both because of the people he worked with and the many new friends he met while visiting farms in Wisconsin. His greatest love in life, besides his family, was farming. He was always happiest sitting on one of his tractors while working his land or tending his cows. Sid will be remembered for his compassionate and caring ways, for his sense of humor, and for his ability and desire to brighten someone’s day with a few words and a smile. He will be missed by all who knew him.
Sid is survived by Brenda, his wife of 58 years; brothers Richard (Nancy) Krause, Bob (Barb) Medlin, sister-in-law Sandy Krause, daughter Peggy Krause Folstrom, son Scott (Missy) Krause, grandchildren Lindsay Folstrom, Christopher Folstrom, Justin (Kerianne) Krause, Arron Krause, Ashley Krause, great-grandchildren, Kelsey Baumann, Mason Krause, Thomas Krause and Lennon Krause. He was preceded in death by his son Eddie (Edward H) Krause, parents Harold and Doris Krause, and brother Edward Krause.
A celebration of his being called home by his Heavenly Father will be held at Trinity Lutheran Church, 2065 Geneva St., Racine WI on Tuesday, April 4th at 11:30 am. Fellowship and luncheon with the family will follow. A service with military honors will be conducted that afternoon at 3:00 pm at the Southern Wisconsin Veteran’s Memorial Cemetery in Union Grove.

Brenda and family-
Our deepest thoughts and prayers are with you in your loss of Sid. I have very fond memories of Sid, especially when he worked up in the Curtiss area. He spent many hours around my parents table discussing NFO. Wisconsin NFO has lost a few special people in the last month, including my dad (Frank Pries). I know Dad was there to greet Sid with a firm hand shake, a hug, and probably a good belly laugh. They are enjoying a good slice of pie. I know how Sid loved his pie from the time he spent working at the food stand at the Clark County Fair. Much love to you all.

Hi Brenda – I don’t know if you’ll get this. It’s been a very long time. I’m sitting on the deck of my cabin in NW WI, enjoying the last remnants of fall. For whatever reason, Sid’s name pops into my head and then your name. So I searched you guys on the internet. That’s where I came across his obit. It saddened me to read this. I knew there was only one Sid & Brenda. Sid was my boss at Jackson Co. Training & Employment in Black River Falls. That wasat least 30+ yrs ago. He was one of the best bosses I ever had. and I know you miss him. Me too. I would have loved to talk with him. You’re in my thoughts. Jane
