
Stanley F. Bialecki, 88, died in the Wisconsin Veterans Home at Boland Hall in Union Grove on Friday November 23, 2007. He was born in Racine on April 3, 1919, the son of the late Stanley and Veronica (nee: Wielgat) Bialecki. Stanley was educated in Racine, graduating from St. Stanislaus Parochial School in 1933, Franklin Junior High School in 1934 and Washington Park High School in 1937. He served with the U.S. Army Air Corps from November 22, 1940 to October 25, 1945 as one of the first six selective servicemen from Racine. He served in the Pacific Theater with the U.S. Army Air Force 22nd Bombardment Group. He received the Southwest Pacific Theater Ribbon with 8 stars and the Presidential Unit Citation. On October 18, 1947, Stanley married the former Charlotte T. Czuper in St. Stanislaus Catholic Church. After the war he worked for J.I. Case Company and was elected County Board Supervisor from the 14th Ward (Stephen Bull District) and served from 1946-1950. In 1954, he was elected Racine County Register of Deeds and took office on January 3, 1955. He served 13 terms, the longest in the history of Racine County, until retiring in 1980. Stanley was the Racine representative for the Polish National Alliance. He was a former member of St. Stanislaus and Holy Trinity parishes and was presently a member of St. Lucy Catholic Church. He was also a member of Polish National Alliance of the U.S.A. – John Sobieski Society Lodge 1939 and served as the lodge’s financial secretary for many years. He was also a member of the Travelers Protective Association-Post A, the James J. Smelcher Post 34 of the Polish Legion of Americans Veterans-Kenosha, and a retiree of the J. I. Case U.A.W. Local 180. Stanley enjoyed printing flyers and such on his small printing press in the basement of their home on Blaine Ave. He learned to set type in a class he took in high school. He enjoyed taking trips in and around Wisconsin and Illinois, with an occasional trip to the casino with his wife Charlotte. Stanley also planted and cultivated a small garden every year. He was a true politician, always “hand shaking” as he said. He was very proud of his Polish heritage. He was instrumental in the creation of Smolenski Park in Mount Pleasant. Visits from Toby, the Welsh Terrier were also always enjoyable. All in all, Stanley enjoyed life. He will be greatly missed. Surviving are his wife Charlotte; children; Paul (Sally) Bialecki of Madison, Kathleen Bialecki of Racine; sister, Irene Rygasewicz; sister-in-law, Adella Czuper both of Racine; as well as nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Dominic Bialecki; brothers-in-law, Richard Rygasewicz, Donald Schreiber, Clayton Lee, Edward Johnson, Joseph, Stanley, John and Vincent Czuper and sisters-in-law, Lorraine Bialecki and Ann Czuper. Relatives and friends are asked to meet at St. Lucy Catholic Church (3101 Drexel Ave.) on Wednesday, November 28th at 10:00 a.m. for the celebration of his funeral Mass, with Rev. Mark R. Jones officiating. The visitation will be in the funeral home on Tuesday, November 27th from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. and in the church on Wednesday, from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the Mass. Burial with full military honors will follow in Holy Cross Cemetery Hwy 32.
