Sturtevant, Wisconsin – Terry K. Strickland passed peacefully away at his farm in Wisconsin on January 17, 2012 at the age of 59. He was born December 12, 1952 in Osceola, Indiana, the son of Keith and Gwen (nee: Grose) Strickland. Terry graduated from Penn High School; and received both his Bachelor’s degree and Master’s Degree from Ball State University. In 1978 he was married to Rebecca Moore. They divorced 23 years later, but remained close friends.
Terry was Vice President of Clinical Services for Bensinger DuPont Associates in Chicago, Illinois. His work there for the past 19 years allowed numerous people in the helping profession to be touched by his loving heart and caring soul. Terry enjoyed life to the fullest and was a true friend and dedicated family man. He drove as often as he could from his home in southern Wisconsin to spend time with his mother and sister, many other extended family members in Indiana and Michigan. When Terry walked into a room it became alive with contagious laughter and warm smiles. There will be only one Terry Strickland, and he will be greatly missed.
He is survived by his daughter Elizabeth Marie Strickland of Rome, Italy; mother Gwen Strickland of Osceola, Indiana; sister Tammy Strickland of New Buffalo, Michigan; as well as many other relatives and good friends. He was preceded in death by his father Keith Strickland.
A memorial service will be held at 1:00 pm EST on February 18, 2012 at the Water’s Edge United Methodist Church, 24 S. Whittaker St. New Buffalo, Mi 49117. In lieu of flowers donations to the Water’s Edge Methodist Church have been suggested.
Many thanks to Mr. Peter Bensinger, and the staff of Bensinger Dupont Associates for your caring and concern for Terry during his illness. He was most proud of his association with all of you.
