He treasured the memories of going camping while growing up and with his children across the U.S. Tom and Carol continued their U.S. travels in their RV in retirement.

I met Tom at Carthage College where we became good friends and fraternity brothers. He started work at Johnson Wax six months before I graduated and he helped me get a job there. Tom changed my life for the better and he will be missed a lot.

I am very saddened at Tom’s passing. When we were in 5th grade, we moved into the neighborhood, a little farther up North Ave, from his family, so I knew them well. I think we were in Cub Scouts together, with his mother as the leader. We were in school together.
And I met Carol and Tom right before they got married, at the drive-in in Aurora. We still talked about it at the reunion last year.
Tom was a great guy. I will miss him.
