
Racine – Travon Anthony Gray, 16, was called Home by his Lord and Savior on Sunday, June 17, 2012. Travon was born in Racine on January 24, 1996, son of Adisa Gray and Tasha Marie Robertson.
Travon was raised in Racine and was a junior at William Horlick High school. A fanatical sports lover, football was his passion as well as basketball and track and field. He also loved music. He loved socializing with his family and close friends: Dawaylon Harvey, Dashawn Harvey, Mark Taylor Jr., Lavon Harvey Jr., Donnie Smith, James Home, Clarance Luster, Stephanie Gonzalez, just to name a few. He cherished the time spent with loved ones.
Surviving are his mother, Tasha Marie Robertson, step-father, Curtisey Liggins Sr., both of Racine; father, Adisa Gray of Memphis; sisters, Zakyia Gray, Curtisha Liggins, Kierra Liggins, Zaryia Liggins, Aisha Liggins, Mikai Gray, Jazzmyn Gray, Jada Gray; step-sisters, Kaliyah Liggins, Desire Liggins; step-brother, Curtisey Liggins Jr.; grandfather, Cecil Rogers; aunt, Lillie Robertson; uncles, Darrell Robertson, Jeffery Robertson; great-aunts, Lear Harvey, Mertherine Harvey; great uncle, James Clark; great-great-uncle, Elijah Wilson; aunts, Charlotte Gray, Winona Gray, Lori Gray; uncles, Tim Gray, Doug Gray, both of Racine; great-aunt, Rose Phyfer; nephew, Zamarion Gray; other members of the Liggins and Visor families; and many friends. He is preceded in death by his grandmothers, Mary Lee Robertson, Mary Gray, Fannie Phyfer; grandfather, Albert Phyfer; great-grandmother, Rosie Lee Clark; great-great-grandmother, Mary Evans; great-uncles, L.C. Wilson (“Uncle Bob”), Jesse Smith, Bobby Wilson; great-aunt, Rosie Gibbs; and great-great-aunt, Rose Evans.
His Homegoing Service will be held at the Draeger Langendorf Funeral Home and Crematory, 4600 County Line Road, on Saturday June 30, 2012, 12:00 pm, with Pastor T. Pinson officiating. Visitation will be in the funeral home on Saturday from 10:30 a.m. until the time of service. Interment will follow at West Lawn Memorial Park.

Travon as a very helpful student when I had him in 6th grade. After he graduated from McKinley, he came back to see me during his freshman year. He was a great kid! I’m so sorry for your loss.
