Racine – Ulla Theuer, 71, received the promise of eternal life on Tuesday, September 29, 2015. She was born in Randers, Denmark, on August 16, 1944, daughter of the late Christian and Louise (nee: Pedersen) Thillemann.
She was united in marriage to the love of her life, Otto Theuer, on December 9, 1967, in Racine, Wisconsin.
Ulla was an office administrator for the Ganz Allergy and Asthma Center. She also has worked in the past for Dr. Singh and was an assistant pre-school teacher for Trinity Lutheran School. Ulla was a dedicated member of Trinity Lutheran Church. She served as a Sunday school teacher, served on the altar guild, participated in the hand bell choir, and volunteered at the Lutheran High School Thrift Shop. Ulla also enjoyed her flowers and gardens. She was an amazing cook and will be remembered for such Danish traditions as Aebleskivers (spherical Danish pancakes). Above all, Ulla loved her family dearly and treasured the time spent with them.
Ulla leaves to cherish her memory, her husband, Otto Theuer of Racine; sons, Steven (Stefanie) Theuer of Racine, Michael (Michelle) Theuer of South Milwaukee; grandchildren, Samuel Theuer, Simon Theuer, Lily Theuer, Annabelle Theuer; sisters, Ingelise Fisker of Denmark, Birgit Petersen of Denmark; other relatives and dear friends too numerous to mention.
In addition to her parents, Ulla is preceded in death by her sister, Linda Fisker.
A celebration of Ulla’s life will be held on Monday, October 5, 2015, 5:30pm, at Trinity Lutheran Church, 2065 Geneva Street, with Pastor Stephen Jennings officiating. Visitation will be held from 2:30pm until the time of the service. Burial will take place at West Lawn Memorial Park on Tuesday, October 6, 2015, 10:00am. Family and friends are asked to meet at the entrance to the cemetery on Tuesday. In lieu of flowers, the family has suggested memorials to Trinity Lutheran School, Trinity Church Hand Bell Choir, or Racine Lutheran High School.
