RACINE – Valerie Ann Dorf, 64, went home to be with her Lord and Saviour on Thursday, January 18, 2018 surrounded in love by her family.
A lifelong resident of Racine, she was born on February 13, 1953, the daughter of the late Albert and Doris (nee: Pribyl) Mihelich, Sr. She graduated from Washington Park High School in 1971.
Valerie worked at Johnson Bank for over 40 years and found meaning in working and serving in her church. She accepted Christ as her Saviour when she was 17 years old at High Street Baptist and had a desire to share her faith with others. One of her greatest joys in life was being with her five beautiful granddaughters.
Valerie is survived by her husband Timothy, her daughters, Roxanne (Nicholas) Flores of Holmen, WI, Sheila (Marco) Quezada of Racine; her grandchildren, Natalie, Emma, Layla, Penelope and Vivienne; her brothers, Allan Mihelich and Albert Mihelich, Jr. both of Racine; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law; as well as dear nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Donald, Edward and Robert Mihelich.
Family and friends are invited to meet at Blessed Hope Baptist Church (4835 Taylor Ave) on Thursday, January 25, 2018 for a visitation from 10-11 a.m. A service celebrating and remembering her life will follow at 11:00 a.m. Her interment will take place at Graceland Cemetery. Memorials have been suggested to Blessed Hope Baptist Church.
A heartfelt thank you is extended to all those who visited, sent cards and helped in special ways throughout Valerie’s journey with cancer, along with her doctors, nurses and caregiver.

Valarie was a very sweet lady and friend. I am glad she isn’t suffering anymore. When we all get to heaven what a day of rejoicing that will be. When we all see Jesus we’ll sing and shout the victory. And she’s singing and shouting.!!! Praying for the family.
