SHEBOYGAN FALLS – Walter “Buzz” Koshen, age 83, passed away February 22, 2023, at home surrounded by his family Barb, Missy, Jim, Ryan, and Vanessa after a heroic battle with dementia. Buzz was born in Racine on April 5, 1939, to the late Walter and Aileen (nee, Johnson) Koshen Jr. Buzz was united in marriage on July 18, 1959, to Barb (nee Jensen). He was vice-president of Koshen Machinery Moving and Erecting Co and then retired from JI Case after 23 years of service. Buzz loved to spend time in his woodworking shop making models and creating hand crafted items out of wood. In his earlier years, Buzz was a ski jumper, golfer, bowler and enjoyed playing guitar. He loved to spend his time cooking out on the Weber, fishing with Barb on their boat and helping his neighbors, family, and friends and making them laugh.

Buzz was preceded in death by his sisters Sandy and Jeri, his brother Richard, and his son, Corey. He is survived by his wife Barb, daughter Joyce (Dan) Derenne, son Walter (Cindy) Koshen IV, daughter Missy (Jim) Siesco, grandchildren and other relatives and friends.

A warm thank you to our friends at Embrace and Sharon Richardson for helping to take care of Buzz, aka Wally, aka Walter.

Sorry to hear of Buzzys passing. We grew up across the road from each other and Sandy was my close childhood friend and the same age, going all though school together. I was Buzzy and Barbs paper boy on Sunnyside Ave.. My brother Bill was good friends with Dicky and the same age. Koshens house was always the go to hot spot for all the neiborhood kids. Bud built a big ski slide above the barn for Bussy and Dicky to hone their sking skills on.RIP
