
Racine – Warren Ralph Beres, 89, received the promise of eternal life on Friday, June 26, 2015. He was born in Racine on February 9, 1926, son of the late Peter and Ella (nee: Siewert) Beres. He was united in marriage to the love of his life, the former Lois Johnson, on December 28, 1962.
Warren is a graduate of Washington Park High School and the University of Wisconsin – Madison. He proudly and faithfully served his country in the 15th Army Air Force as a tail gunner on a B-17 during World War II. Warren worked as a manufacturing representative of office furniture in Racine for many years. He enjoyed sailing, downhill skiing, golfing, gardening, woodworking, and visiting with his grandchildren.
Warren leaves to cherish his memory, his wife of over 52 years, Lois Beres of Racine; one daughter and son-in-law, Cynthia and William Savage of Lisle, IL; four grandchildren, William Kevin Savage of Crest Hill, IL, Theodore Lawrence Savage of Monona, WI, Peter Warren Savage, Cara Jeanne Savage, both of Lisle, IL; sister and brother-in-law, Jewel (Frederick) Marks of Racine; four nephews, several cousins, and many dear friends.
In addition to his parents, Warren is preceded in death by his brother and sister-in-law, LeRoy (Fern) Beres.
A celebration of Warren’s life will be held on Tuesday, June 30, 2015, 6:00pm, at Draeger-Langendorf Funeral Home and Crematory, 4600 County Line Road, with Rev. Dr. Warren Williams officiating. Visitation will be from 4:00pm until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials have been suggested by the family to Hospice Alliance or Atonement Lutheran Church.
The family would like to extend a “Thank You” to Dr. Mark Decheck and his staff as well as the staff at Harmony House and Hospice Alliance for the love and care given to Warren and his family over the years.
