William “Lee” Carpenter, age 63, of Sturtevant received the promise of eternal life from his Lord and Savior on Tuesday, November 3, 2020. Lee was born in Kentucky on May 31, 1957, a son of the late Charles Alfred and Mary Elizabeth (nee: Whaley) Carpenter. He was a proud employee of Johnson Wax Company. On June 28, 2014, he was united in marriage to Cheryl “Cheri” Growe. Lee was a faith filled and faithful member of Apostolic Faith Church serving his church in many capacities including children’s church ministries, visitor ministry, and as an usher. Lee was an exceedingly kind, generous, loving man, who put God and family above everything else. He chose to chase God and things of God rather than the things of this world. He was talented in so many ways but used most of his talent in ministry. He was a guitarist, balloon sculpturer, marionette maker for the children of Apostolic Faith Church. He loved nature and the outdoors. When vacationing he was always capturing the beautiful views. Family get togethers were favorite times for him whether here in Wisconsin or with his family in Kentucky. Most of all he loved his family, each and every one. Survivors include his wife Cheri; their children, Theresa Blake, Timothy Carpenter, Michelle Menchaca, Megan Dickerson, Joe Carpenter, Jacob Carpenter, Mark Pope, James Hoffman, Scott Hoffman, Tim Hoffman, and Lynette Fox; twenty-three grandchildren, and four great grandchildren. Funeral services were held privately at Apostolic Faith Church with interment in Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery. Memorial remembrances to Apostolic Faith Church Children’s ministry would be appreciated.
2 Timothy 4:7-8 I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the LORD, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing.

Tim Hoffman says
He was an amazing, caring, kind, and loving person!! He is a person I strive to be like! His affect on people that knew him is a true testimony to the person he was!! He lived for God, appreciated all that he had(his family, church members, friends, and coworkers being most important and then being very content with items he had in this world). He will be missed tremendously, but Lee won in this game of life because he was able to make it to Heaven!!
