Racine – William Perry, Jr., 64, affectionately known to all as “Pap”, received the promise of eternal life on Monday, May 28, 2012. He was born in Racine on July 13, 1947, son of the late William Perry, Sr. and Johnnie (nee: Cotton) Perry.
Pap confessed a hope in Christ at an early age. He joined Faith Christian Fellowship Church on March 21, 2004. Pap enjoyed fishing and being the one to make people laugh at gatherings. He especially loved music and dancing. Pap was a very spirited individual and everyone loved him for his infectious personality that would light up a room. Above all, he loved his family dearly and will be missed by all who knew him.
Pap leaves to cherish his memory, his loving mother, Johnnie Perry of Racine; siblings, Bessie (Ronald) Claybrook, Gaynell (Leon) Harlan, Robert (Mae) Perry, Linda Perry, Bruce Perry, all of Racine; uncle, Ellis (Dorothy) Cotton of Racine; aunt, Edna B. Harmon of Mississippi; special friend, Robert Bell of Racine; and other relatives and dear friends too numerous to mention. In addition to his father, Pap is preceded in death by his brother, Leonard Cotton.
A celebration of Pap’s homegoing will take place on Monday, June 4, 2012, 11am, at Faith Christian Fellowship Church, 1200 Racine Street, with Bishop Sheila D. Neinhaus officiating. Visitation will be from 10am until the time of the service. Interment will follow at Graceland Cemetery.
