Willie J. Bogan, 10, was called home by his Lord and Savior. He was born in Racine on October 11, 2000 the son of Robert and Doris (nee: Flagg) Bogan Jr. Willie would have been a 5th grade student at Roosevelt Elementary School. He was a lovable boy and enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He had a passion for fishing, basketball, and UFC fighting.
Surviving are his mother, Doris Strickland, of Racine; sisters and brothers, Nicole (Demetrius) Cannon, of Racine, Alisha Strickland, of Grand Rapids, MI, Thomas Flagg, Gregory Strickland, Terrell Strickland, Kendrick Strickland, and Robert Bogan III, all of Racine, grandmother, Jesse Bogan, of Eau Claire, and special uncle and aunt, Willie and Linda Flagg, of Racine, Willie is also survived by numerous, aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives, fellow students, and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Bogan Jr., and his grandfather, Robert Bogan Sr.
His Memorial Homegoing Service will be held in Searching Together Baptist Church, 825 21st St., on Tuesday, September 6th, at 5:00 p.m. with his pastor, Rev. Willie Scott, officiating. Visitation will be in the church on Tuesday, from 3:00 p.m. until the time of the service. Private burial has taken place in Graceland Cemetery. The family has asked that flowers be omitted.

I didn’t know Willie but my heart goes out to the family. My grandson is the same age and and I can’t imagine how difficult it will be for Willie’s family. The community has lost a little boy who was taken way too soon. God Bless..
